Route 7 Mobil Station Employee Sexually Assaults Woman Inflating Tires, Police Say A 34-year-old Route 7 gas station employee was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman as he helped inflate her tires. Ihsan Alhaj-Ali of Fairfield was arrested on Monday, Oct. 15, when Wilton Police officers responded to the Mobil gas station at 932 Danbury Road for a complaint of a sexual assault, said Lt. Three Injured After Car Strikes Bicyclist, Hits School Bus While Woman Flees Scene In Hartford A woman who hit a bicyclist and then slammed into the back of a school bus while trying to flee the scene has been arrested. Josmary Rodriguez, 38, of New Britain, was arrested by Hartford Police around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday after the department responded to the intersection of Gold and Main streets for the report of a car hitting a bicyclist, said Hartford Police Lt. Brian Bowsza. After hitting the bicycle rider, Rodriguez attempted to flee the scene and ended up slamming into the back of a school bus near the intersection with Wells Street, he added. Teen Driving Stolen Car Caught After Foot Chase In Newtown, Police Say A teen was nabbed by police driving a stolen vehicle following a chase in two towns and a crash. Cameron David King, 18, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 3 a.m. Tuesday after officers from the Newtown Police Department were dispatched to the area of South Main Street at Bears Hill Road to search for a stolen motor vehicle, Newtown Police said. It was reported that a blue Toyota Highlander was stolen out of Greenwich earlier in the evening and had just been in a pursuit with Bridgeport Police and was last seen traveling north on Route 25. Fight Breaks Out On County Bus In Westchester Police responded to a fight on a county bus that involved students, according to Mount Vernon Police. The incident took place around 3:20 p.m. Monday on the bus at the intersection of 500 N Columbus Ave. and California Road in Mount Vernon, said Maria Donovan, spokeswoman for the Mount Vernon Police. The Westchester County Police Department was called in to assist during the "minor skirmish" that was resolved without an arrest, said Donovan.

Ex-Worker Found Guilty Of Sexually Abusing Patient In Hudson Valley An Orange County man has been found guilty in a jury trial of sexually abusing a patient at in-patient psychiatric facility. Nathan Oglesby, 57, of Wallkill, was found guilty Monday of a criminal sexual act, and sexual abuse for having sexual contact with an inpatient of a residential facility where he was employed, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. During the trial, prosecutors argued that Oglesby, who worked as a treatment aide in the facility, had sexual contact with the female inpatient. Tractor-Trailer Crash Snarls Morning Commute On I-84 An early morning crash between a tractor-trailer and two vehicles on eastbound I-84 snarled traffic for motorists heading for I-684 in Putnam County. The crash, which occurred around following 4 a.m., Tuesday, closed one eastbound lane of traffic near Exit 20 in Southeast, but has since been cleared, state police said. Residual delays of about two miles remained for those exiting onto I-684 through the morning commute.

Details Emerge In Crash That Caused I-684 Closure For 15 Hours The driver of a pickup truck that smashed into a pole that supported an overhead highway sign on I-684 told New York State Police he fell asleep before the crash occurred. The driver, who has not been named, hit the pole in Katonah around 4:48 a.m. Sunday, closing the busy interstate for more than 15 hours. The truck moved the concrete median about 20-feet, breaking bolts, but the driver did not receive any serious injuries, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Stamford Woman Faces Disorderly Conduct Charge In Greenwich A 54-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct in Greenwich. Carolann Mucha of Stamford turned herself into Greenwich Police on Friday, Oct. 19 after being notified of an outstanding warrant for her arrest, Greenwich Police said. Mucha was charged with one count of disorderly conduct stemming from a previous domestic violence incident, police said. She was released after posting $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Postal Worker Under Investigation After Mail Is Found Dumped In Woods In Northern Westchester The U.S. Postal Service is investigating an employee after boxes of mail were found dumped in the woods in Northern Westchester. The mail was found in Somers near the intersection of Voris Drive and Wellington Lane. An investigation is currently underway into an allegation involving undelivered mail in Somers, confirmed Jeffrey Powers, Assistant Special Agent in Charge with the Inspector General's Office. Nanuet Man Arrested For DWI A 44-year-old man was nabbed for DWI following a routine traffic stop by Rockland County Sheriff's deputies. Jose Mazariego, of Nanuet, was arrested around 1:41 a.m. Monday, for the operation of a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of .08% or more and DWI during a traffic stop on South Middletown Road, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office. He was processed and released on summonses to the Clarkstown Justice Court on Nov. 7.
