She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Westchester Man Grabs Woman By Neck In Front Of Child, Takes Her Vehicle In CT, Police Say A 33-year-old Westchester man was arrested after grabbing a woman by the neck in front of her child while forcibly taking her car keys in Connecticut. Darel Franklin of Port Chester was arrested on Saturday by Milford Police after receiving a report of a domestic dispute, said the Milford Police Department. He later allegedly took the victim's vehicle without her permission. Franklin was charged with disorderly conduct, robbery, larceny, assault, and risk of injury to a child. He is being held on $75,000 bond.

East Fishkill Senior Police Aide Calls It A Career An East Fishkill Police employee is calling it a career after 28 years with the department. Senior Police Assistant Sally Rotundo retired from her position on Friday after giving it her all for 28 years to the department and the community, the department said "Sally will be sincerely missed, and we wish you a happy and healthy retirement," the department said.

Suspect Caught After More Than 20 Shots Fired Near Bridgeport Apartment Complex Police are releasing few details in connection with the arrest of a man connected with firing more than 20 shots in near an apartment complex on Sunday. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m. Sunday behind the PT Barnum Apartments in Bridgeport at 225 Anthony St., Building 15, confirmed Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. ID Released For 25-Year-Old Victim Of Fatal Hit-Run Involving Jeep Grand Cherokee State police have released the identity of the 25-year-old man struck and killed during a hit-and-run incident on Route 63. Tony Goncalves of Derby was struck and killed around 7:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 63 near the Naugatuck-Bethany town line, said the Connecticut State Police. Investigators are looking for a 1997 to 2001 green Jeep Grand Cherokee that fatally struck Goncalves Sunday and then fled the area. 20-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Fourth Poughkeepsie Shooting In Eight Days A 20-year-old man was found shot once in the chest by police responding to a 911 call of shots fired in the area of Mill and Garden streets, Poughkeepsie Police said. Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Route 1 Hit-Run Involving Pickup Truck Police are asking for the public's help in locating a pickup truck that struck a bicyclist and then fled the scene. The incident took place around 8:20 a.m. Sunday on Route 1, in Branford, said the Branford Police Department on Facebook. HS Football Coach Arrested In Westchester For Allegedly Assaulting Player A football coach at a high school in Westchester has been arrested for allegedly hitting a student-athlete in two separate incidents two years ago.
