Irvin Gonzalo Navas-Barillas was arrested on Monday by Wilton Police after he was stopped on Danbury Road when he was seen exiting a business area with his brake and plate lights out, said Lt. ID Released For Local Woman Found Dead In Rippowam River A 67-year-old Stamford woman whose body was found floating in the river near the Trump building has been identified. Eru Zhang, 67, was found dead around 1 p.m. Sunday in the Rippowam River in Mill River Park, said Stamford Police Lt. Eric Scanlon.  Zhang is believed to have entered the water near her home on Vernon Place, police said. "At this point, her death looks to be either suicide or accidental," he said. To date there have been 52 reported car thefts, said Greenwich Police Lt. Man Stole Relative's Credit Card To Make Purchases In Haverstraw, Police Say A 43-year-old Stony Point man is facing multiple charges after alleging making purchases with a credit card stolen from a relative. Phillip DeSimone, 43, was arrested around 1 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31, for grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property after stealing a relative's credit card to make unauthorized purchases in Haverstraw, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 4.

Police Seek Public's Help In IDing Woman Struck, Killed By Car While Walking On Roadway Police are asking for help identifying a woman who was hit and killed while walking along Route 17 in Glastonbury. Glastonbury Police found the woman around 6:18 Tuesday on Main Street/Route 17, in the area of Water Street.  The woman was transported to Hartford Hospital by EMS personnel where she died. The driver of the vehicle stopped and was cooperative with investigators. No charges have been filed, police stated.
