Overnight Car Break-Ins Under Investigation In Westport Police have been investigating a series of car break-ins after a resident saw two men going through a vehicle. Westport police said following the resident's call, officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects, said Westport Lt. Erratic Driving Stop On Route 7 Leads To DUI Charge A 24-year-old local man driving erratically on Route 7 was arrested for driving under the influence. John Stalin Herrera-Mendieta of Danbury was arrested Saturday, Nov. 10 around 7:45 p.m. after Wilton Police spotted him driving his 2011 Ford Fusion erratically northbound on Route 7, said Wilton Police Sgt. Anna Tomello.  During the stop, officers found the Herrera-Mendieta was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said. Police: Shoplifting Suspect Caught After Fleeing Scene In Rockland Had 23 License Suspensions A 54-year-old man was arrested by Ramapo Police for shoplifting from an area store. The incident took place on Sunday when an unidentified man from the Bronx allegedly shoplifted electronic devices from a local store, said the Ramapo Police. After the theft, the man fled the scene but was stopped minutes later and arrested by Ramapo Police.  During an investigation, police found that the man's driver's license had been revoked with 23 suspensions.

Police Probe Packages Stolen Outside Homes In Westchester Community As the holiday season approaches police are investigating four different incidents of thefts of packages from doorsteps and expect more "porch pirates" to be on the prowl. Man Falls From Train Platform In Darien A 22-year-old man is being treated at an area hospital after falling from the Darien Train Station platform.
