She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Bridgeport Man Charged With Violating Protective Order In South Norwalk A 36-year-old Fairfield County man was nabbed by police for violating a protective order after he was caught in the company of the person who had the order against him. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department responded to the home of the student who allegedly made the threats on social media accounts on Tuesday, Dec. 18. Crash Between Truck, Utility Poles Shuts Down Busy Boulevard Both Ways In Stamford A crash between a truck and several utility poles has resulted in the closure of Washington Boulevard in Stamford in both directions. The crash took place around 10:57 a.m. Friday causing live lines to come down at the corner of Broad Street and Washington Boulevard, Stamford Police said. While Eversource works to repair the poles, northbound and southbound lanes have been closed at North Street, police said. Motorists are asked to avoid the area as traffic is backed up. Covia To Shut Down New Canaan Offices, Lay Off 60 Minerals and materials firm Covia has announced it will close its New Canaan facility, laying off 60 employees.
