She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Bones Discovered At Silver Sands State Park A stash of bones found along the tide line at Silver Sands State Park have been determined to be animal bones. The bones were found by a beach walker Thursday morning, said Milford Police. At first, responding officers could not tell if the bones were human or animal and sent crime scene investigators to inspect the find. After an inspection of the bones, police have learned the bones are animal, said Milford Police Officer Mike DeVito. A further examination determined they were pig bones, officials said. Wallkill Man Faces Felony Dwai Charge A 21-year-old Wallkill man was arrested following a traffic stop for DWAI and driving without a license. Nicholas J. Sebesta was charged Saturday by Town of Lloyd Police with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, and unlawful possession of marijuana, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso. Sebesta was arraigned in town court and released on a $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 18.

Fights Involving Teens Cause Closure, Injuries To Security Guards At Connecticut Post Mall Large groups of teenagers acting out and disobeying police and mall security caused officials to close the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford early on Wednesday evening. More than 12 Milford police officers and mall security guards were on scene Dec. 26 when large groups of unsupervised teens converged at the mall and began fighting, pushing and shoving and ignoring officers orders, said Milford Officer Mike DeVito. Bucket Truck Leaks Fuel In Three-Vehicle Westchester Crash A three-vehicle crash closed down a major roadway and required hazmat officials for a fuel spill late Thursday morning in Westchester. The crash, that included a bucket truck that overturned, occurred around 10:11 a.m. Dec. 27 Thursday on Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, Ardsley Police said. The truck leaked about 50 gallons of fuel that has been cleared. Ardsley police said there were no major injuries and the roadway has reopened.

Weston Man Caught Driving Under Influence On Newtown Turnpike, Wilton Police Say A 70-year-old man was nabbed for DUI after police caught him allegedly driving drunk on the Newtown Turnpike in Wilton. Bruce Edward Lorentzen, of Weston, was arrested around 3:17 p.m. on Dec. 18, after Wilton Police officers responded to the turnpike in the area of Stonebridge Road on a report of a drunk driver, Wilton police said. When officers arrived on the scene they found Lorentzen intoxicated and displaying signs of impairment, police said. Second Teen Charged As Adult In Murder Of 12-Year-Old Bridgeport Boy A 16-year-old teen involved with the shooting death of 12-year-old Clinton Howell has been charged as an adult for his part in the incident. Alexander Bolanos, 16, of Bridgeport, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit murder, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Howell was standing outside of his Willow Street home with two other people when he was shot during a drive-by on Tuesday, Dec. 18, police said. Police do not believe he was the intended target. Suspect Charged After Cops Find Gun On Roof During Raid In Stamford Police uncovered a gun and ammunition during a raid of a suspected stash house for weapons in Stamford. The gun, a .357-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol, was found by an eagle-eyed officer who spotted it on a roof outside of a window of the room he was searching during the raid about 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, said Stamford Police Capt. Police Nab Accused Heroin Dealer At McDonald's In Stamford A 34-year-old area man was busted with 100 bags of heroin at a local McDonald's after setting up an undercover buy at the restaurant. Raleigh Hampton, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 7 p.m. Friday after members of the Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit made arrangements to make an undercover buy at the McDonald's on East Main Street, according to Stamford Police Capt. Norwalk Teen Faces DUI Charge After BMW Crashes Into Tree In Wilton, Police Say A 19-year-old Norwalk man was driving under the influence when he crashed a BMW into a tree in Wilton, police said. Juan David Rodriguez-Miranda was arrested Monday, Dec. 24, after Wilton Police responded to a call for that the BMW had hit a tree head-on, said the Wilton Police. When officers arrived on the scene they found Miranda-Rodriguez smelled of alcohol and was arrested for DUI less than 21 years old, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
