Bones Discovered At Silver Sands State Park A stash of bones found along the tide line at Silver Sands State Park have been determined to be animal bones. The bones were found by a beach walker Thursday morning, said Milford Police. At first, responding officers could not tell if the bones were human or animal and sent crime scene investigators to inspect the find. Wallkill Man Faces Felony Dwai Charge A 21-year-old Wallkill man was arrested following a traffic stop for DWAI and driving without a license. Nicholas J. Sebesta was charged Saturday by Town of Lloyd Police with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, and unlawful possession of marijuana, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso. Sebesta was arraigned in town court and released on a $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 18.

Bucket Truck Leaks Fuel In Three-Vehicle Westchester Crash A three-vehicle crash closed down a major roadway and required hazmat officials for a fuel spill late Thursday morning in Westchester. The crash, that included a bucket truck that overturned, occurred around 10:11 a.m. Dec. 27 Thursday on Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, Ardsley Police said. The truck leaked about 50 gallons of fuel that has been cleared.   Ardsley police said there were no major injuries and the roadway has reopened.

Weston Man Caught Driving Under Influence On Newtown Turnpike, Wilton Police Say A 70-year-old man was nabbed for DUI after police caught him allegedly driving drunk on the Newtown Turnpike in Wilton. Bruce Edward Lorentzen, of Weston, was arrested around 3:17 p.m. on Dec. 18, after Wilton Police officers responded to the turnpike in the area of Stonebridge Road on a report of a drunk driver, Wilton police said. When officers arrived on the scene they found Lorentzen intoxicated and displaying signs of impairment, police said.
