Hudson Valley County Executive In Navy Reserves Called For Service In Middle East
Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus, a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves for 11 years, left Sunday to serve in the Middle East.
"I, along with many other Orange County residents, have an obligation to fulfill my commitment as a member of the armed services," Neuhaus said when he was notified of his deployment. "Over the past five years, my administration has put together a tremendous leadership team. I’m confident that they, along with the County workforce, will continue to work diligently for the taxpayers of Orange County.”

Man Nabbed For Masturbating In Front Of Woman In Westport, Police Say
A man wanted for five months for masturbating in front of a woman at a medical facility was nabbed on a warrant.
Devon Rose, 30, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, but for the incident that took place in July at a Westport medical facility, said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana.
During the July incident officers were dispatched to a Westport medical facility on a report of indecent exposure. Upon arrival, officers learned Rose had exposed himself to the victim and began masturbating while sitting across from her in a common area, Cabana said.

Wanted NYC Fugitive Nabbed After Attacking Officers, Fleeing On Foot In Area, Police Say
A man wanted in New York City for violating parole was nabbed in the Hudson Valley after he allegedly attacked officers and fled on foot.
Anthony Huertas, 36, of the Bronx, was arrested by Monticello Police on Friday, Dec. 28, around 11:55 p.m., when an officer on patrol on Jefferson Street, saw him standing in the middle of the road with a female, said Lt. Mark Johnstone, with the Monticello Police Department.

Monticello Man Nabbed For Robbery Of Cell Phone
An area man has been arrested for his part in the alleged armed robbery of a man attempting to sell his cell phone.
Members of the Monticello police arrested Taleek D. Clark, 18, of Monticello on Thursday, Jan. 3, and charged him with felony attempted robbery and robbery in the second degree for the incident which took place around 6 p.m. Dec. 20, said Lt. Mark Johnstone.
