Discovery Of Dead Body Causes Road Closure In Greenwich This story has been updated. The discovery of a dead body early Tuesday has closed a roadway in Greenwich. Greenwich Police said the body was found early Tuesday, Feb 5 along Glenville Road. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Police did not say how long the road would be closed. Dozens Arrested After Series Of Raid Throughout Hudson Valley By Feds, Local Police This story has been updated. Officials are expecting to arrest more than 20 people in a drug sweep focusing on cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana that includes suspects in Rockland, Orange and Westchester County. DEA Special Agent Erin Mulvey said a series of raids focused on drugs were conducted, and are ongoing Tuesday throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. Two Shot In Broad Daylight In City Of Poughkeepsie Two men were shot in broad daylight, one an innocent bystander, during a shooting in the City of Poughkeepsie. The incident unfolded around 3:23 p.m. Monday, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received calls reporting a shooting at S. Cherry and Church streets, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Man Dies From Injuries Week After Shooting At Tractor-Trailer Training Center In Bridgeport A 28-year-old man who was shot multiple times, including once in the head, last month at the New England Tractor-Trailer Training School in Bridgeport has died from his injuries. Eric Salters, of New Haven, was shot by a lone assailant around 11:30 a.m., Jan. 26, at the school, 510 Barnum Ave., said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Support Pours In For Wife, Children Of Coast Guard Member From Area Killed In Accident Friends and family members are working to raise funds through a GoFundMe for the family of a U.S. Coast Guard member who was killed last week during a crane accident while on duty in Alaska. Woman Who Drove Towards Cops Flees Before Getting Caught After Route 9W Crash, Police Said A woman who allegedly drove towards police officers and fled before crashing following a domestic dispute was arrested in Newburgh. Police learned of the man's attack after he was dropped off at the emergency room of Bridgeport Hospital by a private vehicle, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Suspect Wanted For Sexual Assault Of Minor Caught While Attempting To Drive Onto I-95 An area man was caught driving onto I-95 attempting to escape after being identified as a suspect in the sexual assault of a minor. Two Nabbed In Stamford Grandparent Scam Two men were nabbed after a brief police pursuit for accepting a package from UPS containing mone they thought was part of a "grandparent" scam.
