Driver Flees After Rollover Crash On Bronx River Parkway Westchester County Police are on the hunt for the driver of a car who fled the scene after a car crashed on the Bronx River Parkway. The incident took place around 11 a.m., Sunday, March 17, on the Bronx River Parkway just south of the Palmer Road, near the border of Bronxville and Yonkers, police said. When officers arrived on the scene they found the silver sedan with New Jersey plates on its left side, but no driver, police said. Three Area Residents Charged In Drug Deal Gone Bad, Police Say Three area residents were arrested and charged for a crazy drug deal gone bad that included one of the men hanging onto a vehicle and being dragged, state police said. The incident took place around 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, when the New York State Police troopers and members of the Village of Fishkill Police Department responded to Route 9 for a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian with vehicles chasing one another, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the state police. Officer Seriously Injured During Drug Bust, Stamford Police Say A Stamford narcotics agent was seriously injured while attempting to arrest an area man for possession of cocaine, police said. The incident began around 11 p.m. Friday, March 15, when members of the Stamford Narcotic and Organized Crime Squad attempted to arrest Malcolm Chalmers, 26, of Stamford, on Bedford Street for allegedly selling cocaine to the local bar crowd, said Stamford Police Capt. Priest Faces Drug Possession Charge In Westchester Westchester County Police arrested two men, one a priest, for alleged possession of methamphetamine. Officers were traveling on John Walsh Boulevard in Peekskill shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, March 17, when they spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in the vicinity of Charles Point Park, said Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O'Leary. Driver Who Fled After McDonald's Drive-Thru Crash Under Influence, Police Say An area man who almost hit a police officer after fleeing from a crash in a McDonald's parking lot was arrested for alleged DUI. Robert Sutton, 45, of Stratford was arrested around 12:42 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, after Milford Police responded to a report of a crash in the drive-thru lane of the McDonald's at 439 Bridgeport Avenue, said Milford Police. Police Departments In Fairfield County Respond To Claims Of Helping ICE Several area police departments are crying foul after being included in a media report that claims they are helping ICE track immigrants through a license plate reading device. Eight law enforcement entities were listed by the American Civil Liberties Union as having relationships with ICE, including Fairfield, Westport, Stratford, Norwalk, Trumbull, and Southern Connecticut State University. Man Driving 100-Plus MPH In Fairfield County Caught With Drugs, Police Say State Police nabbed a 21-year-old man with pot after he was allegedly clocked traveling more than 100 miles an hour on Route 8 in Shelton.
