She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Investigation Lands Suspected Greenwich Dealer Behind Bars A Greenwich man is behind bars following a lengthy investigation into alleged drug dealing in town. Ahmed I Sambo, 42, was arrested Monday, March 18, after officers with the Greenwich Police Narcotic Section conducted an investigation into a suspected drug dealer living in Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Lt. 22-Year-Old Charged With Trafficking Heroin In Area A months-long investigation into the illicit sales of heroin led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Orange County man. Dashell Powlus, of Elizabeth Street in Port Jervis was busted with 130 individual bags of heroin and 145 grams of marijuana, packing materials, and a digital scale during his arrest on Tuesday, March 12, said Port Jervis Police Chief William J. Woman Turns Herself In On Multiple Charges For Hit-Run Crash In Westport An area woman allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash last year was nabbed by Westport Police following an investigation. According to Westport Police, on Sept. 28, 2018, officers were dispatched around noon to the area of Post Road West and Wilton Road on a report of a hit-and-run crash, said Westport Police. Woman Charged With Stealing Police Car From Area Hotel, Police Say A 29-year-woman was arrested after allegedly stealing a police cruiser while officers were responding to a call in New Windsor. The incident took place around 6 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, when New Windsor Police were responding to the EconoLodge on Route 32 for reported disorderly adults in the hotel, said New Windsor Police Deputy Chief Mike Farbent. Piermont Shooting Under Investigation Police are on the scene of a shooting in Piermont. The shooting took place around 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at 25 Flywheel Park, the location of the Piermont Public Library. 17-Year-Old Charged After Stabbing Of Fellow Student In Rockland, Police Say This story has been updated. A 17-year-old was arrested after allegedly stabbing another student while getting off a school bus in Rockland. Bridgeport Carjacking Suspects On Loose Bridgeport Police are investigating a carjacking early Monday by two or three men dressed in black. The incident took place around 12:36 a.m. Monday, March 18, near 2098 Fairfield Ave., in Bridgeport when the victim was assaulted and his vehicle, a black Dodge Challenger, was stolen, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Woman Dies From Injuries After House Fire Breaks Out In Shelton A Shelton woman has died from injuries suffered during a fire at her home on Sunday, March 17. Barbara Curley, 67, was located inside her home at 22 Florence Drive when police and fire responded to a call of a fire around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, said Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent. Curley was located in the bathroom by Shelton firefighters and removed from the residence, said Nugent. She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and treated for her injuries.
