Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Being Run Over By Vehicle In Parking Area A man who was seen stumbling and falling in a parking area was run over by a vehicle that was leaving the area and didn't see the victim on the ground. The incident took place in Orange County around 3:45 p.m., Thursday, April 4, in the rear lot of 2899 Route 9W, said New Windsor Police Deputy Chief Michael Farbent. ID Released For Man Who Jumped To His Death From Sikorsky Bridge Connecticut State Police have identified the man who jumped to his death from the Sikorsky Memorial Bridge on Thursday. The victim was identified as Stephen P. Regan, 62, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, state police said. Regan jumped off the Sikorsky Bridge around 2 p.m., Thursday, April 4, and his body was retrieved by state police and officials with the Stratford Fire Department. Teacher Placed On Leave For Alleged Inappropriate Conduct With Student In Westchester A Westchester teacher is on administrative leave after being accused of alleged inappropriate conduct with a student. The teacher, who works at Woodlands Middle/High School in Hartsdale, was placed on leave Thursday, April 4, Greenburgh Central School District Superintendent Tahira A. DuPree Chase said. Area Man Arrested After Hitting Nypd Officer With Drone During Funeral A 36-year-old man was arrested during a rebbe's funeral in Brooklyn after his drone hit an NYPD officer injuring her face. Yehiel Rosenfeld of Monsey in Rockland County was arrested Tuesday, April 2, after a drone he was using to film large crowds who turned out to mourn the death of Yisroel Avrohom Portugal, the rebbe of the Skulen Hasidic dynasty in Brooklyn, hit the officer, said the NYPD. Large Brush Fire Breaks Out In Orange County A least a dozen fire companies have responded to a large brush fire on Lodge Mountain in Orange County that spread quickly with building winds. The fire started Thursday afternoon, April 4, near 10 Estybrook Trail, on the mountain, said the Mountain Lodge Park Fire Company. The department said the fire was "very large." The crash took place around 8:10 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, on Nepperhan Avenue in Yonkers, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. Firefighters Rescue Sleeping Person From Blaze In Beacon A sleeping person was saved from a fire by City of Beacon firefighters when they found him inside a Main Street apartment on fire. Firefighters responded around 3:30 a.m., Thursday, April 4 to a report of a fire at 308 Main Street in Beacon, the City of Beacon Fire Department said.
