She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Van Slams Into Utility Pole In Westport Some Westport residents were without power for several hours after a van slammed into a utility pole, snapping it in half. The incident took place on Wedgewood Road in the afternoon on Thursday, April 18,  said the Westport Fire Department. Police, fire and emergency personnel responded to the crash, that damaged the pole, in turn, causing a power outage in the area. Power crews worked to replace the pole, returning power to all by 8 p.m.  There was no word of injuries.

Tuberculosis Case Confirmed In Westchester The Westchester County Health Department has learned that a Monroe College student at the New Rochelle campus was diagnosed with active Tuberculosis, the department said.
