A 30-year-old woman who crossed the picket line to shop at Stop & Shop was issued a summons by police after allegedly getting in a fight with protestors in Wilton. Report Of Shots Fired At Norwalk Community College 'False Alarm' A call to police reporting shots fired at Norwalk Community College sent local and state police to the school to investigate the incident. The call came in around 1:33 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, reporting they had heard shots fired on the campus, said Norwalk Police. When police responded in force, they found the call was a "false alarm," said Norwalk Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino. "I don't believe officers could find the caller," she said. Truck Crashes Into Home In New City A large moving truck plowed into the front of a home in New City. The incident took place around 1:25 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, when the truck drove into the front of the home on West Clarkstown Road and East Eckerson Road in New City, said the Clarkstown Police Department. New Public Places Exclusion Order Issued In Rockland Amid Measles Outbreak With 186 confirmed cases of measles in Rockland County, officials announced new mandates for anyone with measles under a "Communicable Disease and Exposure Exclusion Order." The new mandates, announced Tuesday, April 16, replace the county's State of Emergency that was shot down by a state Supreme Court judge. They require anyone with measles and those who have been exposed to measles to be excluded from indoor and outdoor places of public assembly located in Rockland County. Man Accused Of Firing Shot From Inside His Bedroom, Police Say A 63-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun inside his home, sending a bullet flying into his roommate's bedroom. Jorge Diaz, of Milford, was arrested around 5 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at 302 Alberta Jagoe Court in Milford, for the incident that took place on Feb. 24, said the Milford Police. Man Struck, Killed Crossing Veterans Highway In Holbrook A 37-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook.
