Islip HS Coach Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student
An Islip High School coach has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a student at the school, according to the Suffolk County Police.
Tyler Murphy, 25, of Islip, was charged on Friday, May 3, after school officials notified the school resource officer of an incident during which he inappropriately touched a female student around 8:20 p.m., Thursday, May 2, at the school at 2508 Union Blvd, said the Suffolk County Police.

Police Find Crash But No Driver, License Plates Or Registration Stickers In Rockland
Police responded to a vehicle crash, only to find a very damaged vehicle, but no driver and no way to identify anyone involved.
The incident took place Friday, May 3, when officers were dispatched to a report of a car into a guard rail, police said. (Police did not identify the location).

A Suffolk County Police officer and two others were injured during a crash near the Walt Whitman Mall.
The crash took place around 5:51 p.m., Sunday, May 5, on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, according to the Suffolk County Police.
According to police, the marked police vehicle, which had its lights and sirens activated, was following an ambulance northbound on Walt Whitman Road when a 2018 Volkswagen Passat pulled out of the Walt Whitman Mall parking lot and the two vehicles collided, police said.
