Sex Offender Arrested After Failing To Report Move In Area
An Orange County man was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender after moving from his residence in 2018.
Mikell A. Phillips, 31, of Greenville, was arrested on Tuesday, May 7, following an investigation into the verification of an address that Phillips reported to be residing at, in the Town of Greenville, in November of 2018, said Orange County Sheriff's Office Capt. Paul Arteta.

ID Released For 25-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Car On Sunrise Highway
A man who was hit and killed while crossing Sunrise Highway has been identified by Suffolk County Police.
Matthew Donadeo, 25, of Lindenhurst, was crossing eastbound Sunrise Highway, near Connetquot Avenue when he was struck in the left lane by a 2017 Audi at 12:07 p.m., Sunday, May 5, said the Suffolk County Police.
Donadeo was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The driver of the Audi, Rose Baltazar, 23, of Bay Shore, was alone in her vehicle and not injured, police said.

Bay Shore Man Fires Gun During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A Bay Shore man was arrested after firing a handgun inside a home during a domestic dispute, said the Suffolk County Police.
The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, May 6, when Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 report of shots fired at 18 Center Ave., in Bay Shore, said a department spokesperson.
Following an investigation, detectives determined that Jaqunne Brewster, 23, a resident of the home, fired several rounds from a handgun during a dispute with a family member, police said.

Contractor From Westport Accused Of Taking Money For Uncompleted Work In Wilton
An area contractor has been arrested for allegedly taking money for work and then never completing the job.
Krystian Lorek, 37, of Westport, was arrested Monday, May 6, by Wilton Police on an active arrest warrant for consumer related charges.
The owner of Lorek General Contracting in Westport, had been contracted for construction work and took money for work that was not completed, said Wilton Lt. Robert Kluk.
Lorek was charged with violation of a home improvement contract, larceny over $25,000, and numerous contracting-related charges, said Kluk.
