Taxi Driver Drove With Children In Vehicle While High On Drugs, Rockland Sheriff Says
A taxi driver from Haverstraw was nabbed for alleged DWAI/Drugs under “Leandra’s Law” for transporting two children while under the influence, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Moises Esteves, 36, was arrested around 9:12 p.m., Friday, May 10, after being stopped by police while working as a driver for America Latina Taxi of Spring Valley, said Rockland County Sheriff's Lt. John Murphy.
Esteves was stopped for having a suspended vehicle registration on Pomona Road in the town of Ramapo, Murphy said.

Yorktown Woman Charged With DWI Following Single-Vehicle Crash In Putnam
A 26-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving while drunk following a single-vehicle crash.
Jacqueline Driscoll, of Yorktown, was arrested around 4:25 p.m., on April 30, after Putnam County Sheriff's Deputy Shawn Iarussi responded to a report of a car crash in the Town of Putnam Valley, the Sheriff's Office said.
Once on the scene, Iarussi observed a gray Honda, off the road, with damage to two tires and the entire undercarriage, police said.

Staples HS Custodian Arrested For Stalking Student, Westport Police Said
A Stratford man who worked as a maintenance employee at Staples High School in Westport has been arrested for allegedly stalking a student.
Paul Telep, 52, was arrested on Tuesday, May 7, and charged with stalking, after a school resource officer observed him allegedly recording a student in the school cafeteria, said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana.
During the incident, Telep appeared to be recording students, particularly a juvenile female, with his work cell phone, Cabana said.
