She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Former Rockland Sheriff Thomas Goldrick Dies Former Rockland County Sheriff Thomas J. Goldrick, known as the "Singing Sheriff," has died at the age of 93. Goldrick, who served as Sheriff from 1982 to 1991, is known for leading the department through some of its most difficult years including the trials of the Brinks robbery defendants, which had a significant impact on Rockland County, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office. Missing Nassau County 32-Year-Old Found Update The 32-year-old man who went missing over the weekend in Nassau County has been found and is safe. Mohammad Salem of New Cassel was located after a neighbor saw him trying to enter his garage and called police, the New York Public Safety Department announced Monday afternoon, May 13. Man Brandishes Knife After Being Caught Shoplifting At TJ Maxx In Fairfield, Police Say A 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly pulling out a knife and threatening store employees after being caught shoplifting at TJ Maxx in Fairfield. Luis Morales of Bridgeport was observed concealing $311 worth of clothing and leaving the store around 1:54 p.m., Friday, May 10, said Fairfield Police Chief Christopher Lyddy. Resident Cut With Knife During Armed Home Invasion In Stratford, Police Say Police are searching for three armed men who invaded a home in the early morning hours and demanded money from the homeowner. The incident took place around 4:15 a.m., Monday, May 13, on Light Street in Stratford, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. According to police, it appears that three men entered the home and demanded money from the residents inside. Baldwin Man Posed As Nypd Detective, Police Say A 55-year-old Long Island man impersonating a New York City Police Department detective was nabbed by cops after they became suspicious of his behavior.
