Cop Involved In Danbury Shooting Of Knife-Wielding Suspect Shot, Killed Another Man Last Year
A Danbury Police officer who shot and wounded a knife-wielding man last week also shot and killed another man threatening police with a knife last year.
Officer Alex Relyea, was identified Tuesday by Connecticut State Police as the officer who shot Aaron Bouffard, 31, on Wednesday, July 3, as he threatened numerous people with large butcher knives.
Relyea also shot and killed Paul Arbitelle on Dec. 29, 2018, after threatening officers and his mother with a knife, police said.

Pickup Truck Crashes Into Building In Holtsville, Injuring Two Employees
A driver of a pickup truck who suffered a medical emergency crashed into the front of East End Stairs and Railing Inc., in Holtsville, injuring two workers.
The incident took place around 9:40 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, at 194 Morris Ave., Holtsville, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup truck was in the parking lot of East End Stairs and Railing Inc. when they suffered a medical event and the truck veered into the building.

Police: Man Wanted For Firing Multiple Gunshots Into Home Occupied By Children Found At Motel
A man who allegedly fired multiple shots into a Bridgeport home that was occupied by several children, one as young as 7 years old, was nabbed by police at a motel.
Randy Torres, 25, of Bridgeport, was arrested at the Motel 6 in Milford around 11:15 a.m., Monday, July 8, by members of the Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau's General Investigations Unit, Fugitive Task Force, Robbery/Burglary Unit, as well as the United States Marshals Service and Connecticut State Parole, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

A man who is already serving a 14-year prison sentence for a carjacking in which he dragged the victim through a parking lot has been charged with the murder of a 68-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man in 2017.

Man Resists Arrest After Refusing To Leave Restaurant At Closing Time, Police Say
A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly refusing to leave a restaurant at closing time and then resisting police.
Peter Zullo of Milford was arrested around 2 a.m., Saturday, July 6, when he allegedly refused to leave Eli's Tavern at 21 Daniel St., in Milford, said the Milford Police Department.
When officers arrived on the scene, Zullo continued to refuse to leave the property after being told the business was closed and then actively resisted police attempting to escort him out, police said.

Rockland Man Under Protective Order Hits Ex-Girlfriend In Head, Police Say
A Spring Valley man was arrested after hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head during a fight, causing a laceration that needed medical attention, Spring Valley Police said.
Josset Alfredo Barrera-Cazco, 20, was arrested around 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, when officers responded to Washington Street for a report of a physical domestic dispute, said Spring Valley Officer Matthew Galli.
