Woman Nabbed For Stealing Wallet At Westport Store, Making Large Purchase, Police Say
Westport Police extradited a Massachusetts woman back to Connecticut after she was allegedly identified as one of three people wanted for stealing a wallet and attempting to use the credit cards inside, police said.
Francisca Duran-Cabrera was formally charged on Thursday, July 18, for the incident which took place on Sunday, March 17, at the Home Goods on Post Road East, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso.

Greenwich Burglary Suspect Turns Himself In To Police
A man wanted for allegedly breaking into a home last year while the residents were home asleep turned himself in to Greenwich Police after learning there was a warrant for his arrest.
Jose Barcacel, 30, of Torrington, was arrested on Wednesday, July 17, by Greenwich Police for the burglary on Nov. 28, 2018, and charged with burglary at night, conspiracy to commit larceny, larceny, and conspiracy to commit burglary at night, police said.

Man With Loaded Gun Urinates On Gas Station In Area, Police Say
A man caught urinating on the side of a gas station found himself in the Dutchess County Jail.
Cody Warner, of Lauderdale, Mississippi, was arrested on Sunday, July 14, after Town of Fishkill Police Officer John Hurtado saw him urinating on the side of Flory's Gas Station, located on Route 9 in the Village of Fishkill, Chief James Schepperly said.
Warner was also carrying a loaded 45-caliber Ruger handgun, police said.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon. Bail was set at $25,000 cash/$50,000 bail and is being held at the Dutchess County Jail.
Details Released After Crash With Injuries Causes I-84 Closure
New details have been released after a two-vehicle crash that closed I-84 for more than an hour sent two to the hospital for treatment.
The crash took place around 10:26 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in the town of Southeast, when a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Bubacarr Dukureh, 55, of the Bronx, was traveling westbound when he was either stopped or coming to a stop in the lane, and was hit in the rear by a 2019 Dodge Ram van, driven by Christopher J. Saas, 50, of Patterson, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
