Police in North Orange County began an investigation immediately after Deborah Waldinger was found dead inside her apartment around 8:21 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, said Town of New Windsor Police Deputy Chief Michael Farbent. Police Investigating Fairfield Avenue Burglary Police are investigating a burglary on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. Police said they received a call of a reported "break-in" around 7:30 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 7, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Once on the scene, the resident told officers that she did not believe anything was missing or out of place, Jones said. Man Struck By Lirr Train A man who was struck by a train at the Woodside LIRR station was still alive when transported to Elmhurst Hospital.  The incident, which took place around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, has caused five cancellations and delays averaging 10 to 15 minutes, said a LiRR spokesman. To help alleviate the delays, the subway system is cross-honoring tickets for passengers at various stations along the line. Michelle Flanders, of Saugerties, was arrested at  7:32 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, after Saugerties Police responded to a fight between two women at 1016 Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
