ID Released For Boy, 8, Who Died After Boat Carrying Eight Flipped Over In Area An 8-year-old boy who drowned after being underwater for some time when a boat carrying seven children and one adult flipped over in Haverstraw Bay has been identified. Yosef Goldman, of Israel, died around 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, after becoming trapped under the boat which flipped about 100 feet off of Haverstraw Bay, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office. According to Sheriff's officials, the boat flipped over sending all eight occupants into the water. 18-Year-Old Shot Twice Near Bridgeport Hospital An 18-year-old was shot twice, just a block from Bridgeport Hospital. The shooting took place around 4:52 p.m., Monday, near the 100 block of Bell Street, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. The man, who was reportedly shot in the leg, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Jones said. An investigation is ongoing.

Tiffany Kingwood, 37, of Verplanck, died after driving her vehicle into the Hudson River in Westchester. One eagle, initially rescued by state police, was found on the side of Route 8, in the area of exit 25, in the Beacon Falls/Naugatuck region, said the Audubon Sharon on Facebook.
