Woman Shot At Bridgeport Housing Complex Police are investigating the shooting of a woman at an area apartment complex. The Bridgeport Police Department said that the incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Greene Homes apartments. The women reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.  An investigation is underway.

Speeding Driver From Danbury Nabbed For Pot, Drug Paraphernalia A 24-year-old man was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop for speeding. Charles Anthony Nunez-Rivera, of Danbury, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 26, after being stopped in his 2012 BMW X5 for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone, said the Wilton Police. During the stop, officers noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Channon Powell, 35, of Newburgh, Maurice Williams, 38, of Monticello, and Evelyn Cruz, 32, of Wallkill, were arrested on Monday, Oct. 28, after police received a report of a grand larceny theft from Macy's, said the Yorktown Police. Oil Truck Crashes Down Embankment, Causing Fuel Leak In Area An oil tanker crashed down an embankment, causing a fuel leak that firefighters are still busy soaking up. The crash took place around 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, in Putnam Valley on Hollowbrook Road, officials said. The driver was not injured, but firefighters with the Putnam Valley Department are using absorbent pads to stop the oil from leaking into the nearby Hollow Brook, the department said. Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department and Montrose VA Fire Department and the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services Hazmat Team assisted with the call.

Man Found Murdered In Home Near Area High School, Police Say Police are investigating the murder of an Ulster County man who was found dead in a home. Myron T. Moye, 36, of Kingston, was found around 2 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, at a home on West O’Reilly Street after police received a 911 call, said the Kingston Police. Responding officers found Moye and began administering first aid until he was transported by emergency medical services to Health Alliance Broadway Campus where he was pronounced dead.
