$25.8 Million Lotto Jackpot-Winning Ticket Purchased At Stop & Shop In Fairfield County
Quick, dig out those Lotto tickets because one lucky person who purchased one in Fairfield County won a cool $25.8 million in the Friday, Nov. 1 drawing.
The lucky ticket, with the winning numbers of 1-9-10-15-41-43, was sold at the Stop & Shop in Danbury, said the Connecticut Lottery.
The winner, who has not come forward, was the only jackpot winner out of 46,041 winning tickets sold for the drawing, lottery officials said.
The winner, who purchased the ticket at the store at 44 Lake Avenue Ext., in Danbury, can take a lump-sum payout of $21.3 million or 21 annual payments.

Drivers ID'd In Crash That Caused Chain-Reaction, Hours-Long LI Expressway Closure
Officials have released the names of two of the five people injured, one seriously, in a five-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway in Suffolk County.
The crash took place around 7 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, near Commack, closing the highway for several hours, Suffolk County Police.
According to police, the crash occurred when Lonnie Garrett, 63, of Coram, was driving a 2012 Toyota Highlander westbound on the Long Island Expressway, west of exit 53, and his vehicle rear-ended a 2004 Honda CRV, driven by Eduardo Turcios, 67, of Westbury.

Three Nabbed On Drug, Other Charges During Probation Sweep, Police Say
Three people were arrested on drug and other charges during a probation sweep by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Probation Department.
The sweep took place on Thursday, Oct. 31, when the two offices teamed up to enforce the supervision of probationers through home visits, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta.
One visit led to the arrest of three people including Lorenzo Lopez, 52, Devin Zarnoff, 26, both of the Town of Newburgh, and Nancy Corrigan, 45, of Wappinger Falls, after they were found in possession of drugs.
