Three Nabbed On Drug, Other Charges During Probation Sweep, Police Say Three people were arrested on drug and other charges during a probation sweep by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Probation Department. The sweep took place on Thursday, Oct. 31, when the two offices teamed up to enforce the supervision of probationers through home visits, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta. ID Released For Man Who Died After Boat Overturned In Long Island Sound Officials have identified the person killed when a 17-foot-boat overturned in Long Island Sound. Eul Lee, 64, from Fort Lee, New Jersey, was killed during a boating accident in Long Island Sound on Sunday, Nov. 3, said the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection State Environmental Conservation Police. The incident took place around 9:45 a.m. when four people were fishing from a vessel in the vicinity of the Stratford Shoals (Middle Ground) Light Station when the vessel capsized, EnCon officials said. Man Indicted On Charges Of Murdering Girlfriend At Area Apartment Complex An Orange County man has been indicted by a grand jury on murder and manslaughter charges in the death of his 32-year-old girlfriend. Luis Rondon, 49, of New Windsor, was indicted on Monday, Nov. 4, on charges of murder and manslaughter, as well as criminal possession of a weapon, said Cristopher Borek with the Orange County District Attorney's Office. The indictment charges that Rondon intentionally caused the death of Deborah Waldinger on Oct. 7 in New Windsor. Man Shot Three Times In Bridgeport, Police Say Bridgeport police are investigating the shooting of a man who was shot three times. The shooting took place around 5:40 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, near the 300th block of Mountain Grove Avenue, said Terron Jones, a spokesman with the Bridgeport Police. The unidentified man was transported to the hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Jones said. City detectives are investigating.

The crash took place around 6:53 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, westbound near Exit 53, said the Suffolk County Police. Police did not know the extent of the injuries but did say all five drivers were taken to area hospitals. The crash is under investigation by detectives. This continues to be a developing story. Arrest Made In Robbery Of Elderly Fairfield County Woman At Mall Police detectives charged a 25-year-old man for robbing an elderly woman at the Westfield Trumbull Mall in August and stealing her car. Jordan Savage, of Waterbury, was apprehended when he was stopped by Watertown Police on Friday, Nov. 1, and arrested without incident after they learned of the active warrant for his arrest out of Trumbull, said Trumbull Police Lt. Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Long Island Beach A small plane made an emergency landing on a Long Island beach, just miles from an airport, according to police. The incident took place around 2:25 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, when Nassau County Police received a call that a plane needed to make an emergency landing on the beach in Point Lookout, police said. Officials said the Cessna 150 was able to land successfully on the beach near Garden City Avenue, police said. The plane was reportedly headed for Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip. Employees At Long Island Bar Robbed At Gunpoint, Police Say Two employees of a popular Long Island bar were robbed at gunpoint by two men. Suffolk County Police said the incident took place around 430 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at Vanderbilts Wharf at 445s Vanderbilt Blvd., in Oakdale. According to police, the two employees left the business when they were approached by two men brandishing what appeared to be handguns and demanding jewelry and cash. Man Caught Stealing From Staples High School Boys Locker Room, Police Say A 46-year-old man was arrested after allegedly stealing from multiple items from the Staples High School’s boys locker room last month. Westport police were notified of the thefts around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, when they received multiple reports of thefts from the boys locker room, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso. Man Slams Into Pole While Driving Drunk At More Than Twice Legal Limit, Police Say A man was arrested for felony DWI after he allegedly crashed his vehicle while driving at more than twice the legal limit in Ulster County.
