She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Greenwich Woman, Stamford Man Charged After Altercation Spills Into Street, Police Say Two Fairfield County residents were arrested for breach of peace after an argument allegedly spilled into the roadway causing motorists to call the police. Eric Brank 38, of Stamford, and Kenyetta Powell, 43, of Greenwich, were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 31, after Greenwich Police responded to the Chickahominy section of the town on reports of a physical altercation, said Greenwich Police Lt. Fairfield Man Faces Assault Charge After Incident With Girlfriend At Area Hotel, Police Say A Fairfield man faces an assault charge after allegedly beating up his girlfriend at an area hotel. Michael Ignatowski, 47, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 5, after Milford Police responded to a local hotel for a report of domestic violence, the department said. Once on the scene, police found that Ignatowski allegedly struck his girlfriend several times in the face and head area, police said. Ignatowski was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear ticket.

Movie 'Slapface' Films At Area Bar Well, mum was the word on what movie was filming at a bar in the area, but now the secret is out. According to a post on Facebook by the owner of Golden Rail Ale House in Newburgh, Brian Butler, the venue was closed on Monday, Nov. 4, for the filming of the horror movie, "Slapface." Once the crew wrapped up filming -- after about nine hours -- Butler was able to get a photo of himself with actors Mike C. Manning and Dan Hedaya. Man Pinned Under Vehicle Saved By Police In Area A 23-year-old man is alive thanks to the quick work of several area police officers after a car fell on top of him. The accident took place in Orange County at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, when police received a call that Justin Muller was pinned under a vehicle that had fallen while he was working on the vehicle, Town of New Windsor Deputy Chief Michael Farbent said. Fentanyl Seizure Largest In Nassau County History, Authorities Say In a joint effort, law enforcement officials say they have seized 400 grams of fentanyl in two investigations that led to the indictment of 11 people for their alleged roles in violent drug and gun rings operating in Hempstead. Motorcyclist Critically Injured After Striking Deer In Area A motorcyclist who crashed into a deer while riding in the area is in critical condition. The crash took place in Ulster County around 12:10 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, in the area of Route 212 and Shagbark Pond Road in the Town of Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said. According to Sinagra, the crash occurred when 49-year-old Kyle Lewis of Greenville (In Green County), was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle west on Route 212 when a deer entered the roadway and slammed into Lewis’s motorcycle. Police Searching For Leads In LI Robberies That Happened Within Minutes Of Each Other Police are investigating two robberies on Long Island that occurred within minutes of each other and could be connected. The first robbery took place at 3:05 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when a man walked into the 7-Eleven at 1320 5th Ave., in Bay Shore, and displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from the employee, said the Suffolk County Police. Man Found Dead After Fire At Home In Area A man was found dead after a fire destroyed a home in the area. The man was found after flames devoured the mobile home in Putnam County in the Post Road Mobile Home Park on Route 9 in Philipstown, around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4. Once the blaze was out, first responders with the North Highlands Fire Department found the man, who had been badly burned, Putnam County Sheriff's Department Capt. Body Recovered From Lake ID'd As Missing Area Man, Police Say A photo of a dead body floating in a body of water on social media led the police to find a man dead in an area lake. The body was discovered around 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when the City of Newburgh Police Department was alerted of a photograph being shared on social media depicting a body floating in a body of water, said Det.
