Woman Charged In Stabbing Outside Walmart In Area A 37-year-old woman has been charged with stabbing another woman outside an area Walmart. The assault in Orange County was discovered around 4:18 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, when the Town of Wallkill Police responded to the Walmart at 470 Route 211 for a report of an attack, said the Wallkill Police. Stamford Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint Police are searching for two men who allegedly used a gun to rob a gas station. The incident took place in Stamford around 5:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Springdale Shell station on Hope Street, when two men wearing masks walked into the store and pointed a pistol at the clerk and ordered the man to give him money, said Stamford Police Lt. Fire Damages Bridgeport Home A Bridgeport home was badly damaged after a fire ripped through the residence. The fire began around midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 140 Marilyn Drive, in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, a spokesman for the fire department. Responding fire units reported a heavy fire in the ranch-style home.  The couple who lived at the home were alerted by smoke alarms and were able to safely escape, Jones said. Bridgeport firefighters had the fire under control within 45 minutes, he added. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.

Driver Loses Control Of Vehicle Ends Up In Creek In Area A speeding motorist was injured after losing control of his vehicle and ending up in a creek in the area. The single-vehicle crash took place in Orange County around 7:11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, on Tuthill Road in Blooming Grove, said Blooming Grove Police Officer Michael Graziano. Graziano said speed played a factor in the man losing control and going off the roadway, into a creek, where the vehicle rolled over. When police arrived on the scene the driver was out of the vehicle.  The driver received minor injuries, Graziano said.  The crash is under investigation.

Stamford Woman Arrested On Bad Check Charge A Fairfield County woman was arrested for allegedly issuing a bad check to an area business. Kecia Fields, 47, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 14, on a warrant for an incident that took place in April of last year, Greenwich Police said. She was charged with conspiracy, forgery, issuing a bad check and larceny and is being held on $150,000 bond.  Fields is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Nov. 29.
