The incident took place in the Town of Poughkeepsie around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, during the intense snowstorm on Vassar Road in front of Dimpy's Food Mart. Police On Hunt For Vehicle Involved In Newtown Hit-Run Police are looking for an SUV that sideswiped another vehicle in the area. The incident took place around 6:40 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Newtown when the dark-colored SUV, possibly a Honda CR-V sideswiped another vehicle while traveling on Nunnawauk Road, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde. The vehicle will have damage to the driver side with possible white paint transfer, Bahamonde said. Woman Nabbed For Numerous Traffic Violations, Possession of Heroin During Stop, Police Say A 38-year-old area woman was busted for driving with a suspended license and possession of heroin following a traffic stop. Monica Maciog, of Monroe, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 26, following a traffic stop on Washington Avenue in Newtown, for having a suspended vehicle registration due to not having insurance, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde.
