Man Used Fake ID To Try To Cash $8.8K Check At Northern Westchester Bank, Police Say
A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to use another person's identity to cash a check for more than $8,000 at a Northern Westchester bank.
Christian Maldonado, of Yonkers, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 4, by Yorktown Police for identity theft, two counts of using a forged instrument, and attempted grand larceny, said the Yorktown Police.
According to police, Maldonado allegedly stole the identity of a man by obtaining his personal information and then had a fake driver's license and credit card made and attempted to withdraw $8,8000 from the victim's checking account…

Man Nabbed Breaking Into Vehicles In Fairfield, Police Say
A 37-year-old man was nabbed for allegedly breaking into numerous vehicles and taking valuables from each.
Wilberto Lozada Acosta, of Fairfield, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 6, after police responded to a motion alarm at Gaine's Construction on Berwick Court in Fairfield, police said.
Once on the scene, officers checked the building, which showed no signs of forced entry, Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras said.

Westchester Man Who Gave Cops Fake Name Arrested In Fairfield County, Police Say
A 31-year-old man who provided police with a fake name was arrested for criminal impersonation and other charges.
Isiah Freeman, of Mount Vernon, was arrested around 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, after being stopped by Greenwich Police for driving a vehicle with a license plate that did not match, Greenwich Police said.
Once stopped, Freeman did not have any identification that could positively identify who he was and allegedly provided officers with a fake name and signed documents using the fictitious name, police said.

An 18-year-old Orange County teen was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon after running from police when they attempted to speak with him.
Savion L. Knight, of Newburgh, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 2, when the City of Newburgh Police noticed a group of men standing on the corner of South Lander and Overlook Place, said Newburgh Police Det. Sgt. Joseph Rutigliano.
