Employee Stole Money From Cash Register At Area Price Chopper, Police Say
A 23-year-old woman has been charged with four counts of larceny for allegedly stealing money out of a cash register where she worked.
Ulster County resident Vanessa Robinson, of the Town of Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties Police on Wednesday, March 4, following a complaint from the Price Chopper Store, said Chief Joseph A. Sinagra said.

Two Shot While Sitting In Vehicle In Bridgeport, Police Say
Two men were shot while sitting in a parked vehicle in Fairfield County.
The shooting took place during the early morning on Friday, March 6, on Carrie Street in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.
The two victims, ages 21 and 23, were hit by gunfire while seated in the vehicle, a third passenger, who was not injured, drove the car away from the area while still seated in the passenger seat, Fitzgerald said.
While attempting to drive from the passenger seat, the passenger/driver was involved in a crash at Connecticut Avenue and Hollister Street, he said.

Four people have been arrested and police seized four kilos of illegal drugs following a vehicle and foot pursuit in Westchester County.
The incident began around 1 p.m., Monday, March 2, when the Real-Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police headquarters reported that a black Mercedes-Benz, which was wanted in connection with a shooting investigation in New York City, was traveling on the Hutchinson River Parkway, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the department.

ID Released For Long Island Woman Struck, Killed In Hit-Run Crash
A Long Island woman killed by a hit-and-run driver has been identified by police.
Gladis Bonilla, 54 of Westbury, was killed around 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, in Hicksville, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Bonilla was hit while crossing West John Street at the intersection of Kuhl Avenue, by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.
As a result of the collision, Bonilla suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
