Two Shot While Sitting In Vehicle In Bridgeport, Police Say Two men were shot while sitting in a parked vehicle in Fairfield County. The shooting took place during the early morning on Friday, March 6, on Carrie Street in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. The two victims, ages 21 and 23, were hit by gunfire while seated in the vehicle, a third passenger, who was not injured, drove the car away from the area while still seated in the passenger seat, Fitzgerald said. ID Released For Long Island Woman Struck, Killed In Hit-Run Crash A Long Island woman killed by a hit-and-run driver has been identified by police. Gladis Bonilla, 54 of Westbury, was killed around 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, in Hicksville, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Bonilla was hit while crossing West John Street at the intersection of Kuhl Avenue, by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.  As a result of the collision, Bonilla suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The unidentified man's body was discovered around 4:36 p.m., Monday, March 2 in the City of Poughkeepsie after police received a 911 call asking for a welfare check.
