Photos: Ducklings Stuck In Drainpipe Rescued By Slew Of First Responders On Long Island
A slew of law enforcement officers on Long Island spent part of Memorial Day fishing a brood of ducklings out of a drainpipe.
The officers came to the rescue in Suffolk County around 1:15 p.m., Monday, May 25, in the hamlet of Riverside.
According to police, the Southampton Town Police were called for five ducklings stuck in a storm drain on Route 24 in Riverside.
Momma duck was sitting nearby, waiting for help, and then watching the entire rescue.

Police: I-87 Traffic Stop Leads To Aggravated DWI Charge For Area Man Driving Three Times Limit
A 51-year-old man was nabbed allegedly driving drunk at three times the legal limit during a traffic stop.
The arrest took place around 11:15 p.m., Monday, May 18, in Rockland County when New York State Police stopped a vehicle on Interstate-87 in the village of South Nyack for several vehicle and traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver, Patrick A. Pierson, of West Nyack, was allegedly found to be intoxicated, said state police.
Pierson was taken into custody, and processed where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent, state police said.

A 31-year-old man was arrested after allegedly causing a crash while he was high on Xanax that sent three juveniles to the hospital
Joseph C. Stovenken, Garnerville, was arrested by Rockland County Sheriff's deputies following the crash around 9:25 p.m., Thursday, May 21, in Ramapo, said Chief William Barbera.
The accident occurred in front of a Rockland County deputy at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and the Palisades Interstate Parkway exit 11 ramp.
