Police Investigating Armed Robbery Of Gas Station In Northern Westchester Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Northern Westchester gas station by a man armed with a handgun. The incident took place around 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Peekskill at the Sunoco at 980 Washington St., when the man, wearing a mask, entered the store and demanded cash from the lone employee, said Peekskill Police Lt. Jack Galusha. The clerk turned over an undetermined amount of cash and the man fled the store in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the robbery and no arrest have been made. Galusha said the incident remains under investigation.

The incident took place around 10:34 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, when a train out of Penn Station headed for Hempstead,  reported an automobile on the tracks near Stewart Manor, said Michael Cortez, spokesman for the MTA. Dump Truck Crashes Into House On Long Island, Landing In Kitchen A dump truck slammed into a home early Wednesday, Oct. 21, landing in the kitchen of a Long Island home. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 7:20 a.m., at 138 Plymouth Blvd., in Smithtown, said the Suffolk County Police. According to Suffolk County Fourth Precinct officers, the dump truck driver lost control before crashing into the house. There were no injuries. The Smithtown Building Department responded to evaluate the damage.  The driver of the truck was issued multiple summonses.
