Victim Left With Life-Threatening Injuries After Fairfax Shooting: Police Officers responded to the scene of a shooting in Fairfax on Wednesday, August 17, police said.Police arrived at the 2000 block of Huntington Avenue, where they found a man suffering gunshot wounds, according to the Fairfax Police Department. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The suspect was described as a black male, who is 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a yellow hat, black shirt, and gray pants, police reported. Fairfax law enforcement said to avoid the area, and anyone with information on the incident should call 911.

Woodbridge Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 2 Teens In Early 2000s A Woodbridge man was recently arrested for sexually assaulting two teens at least 15 years ago, police said.A female victim, between the ages of 16 and 17 at the time of the incident, reported sexual assault by a family member multiple times between April 2001 and September 2002, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Man Who Sexually Assaulted Victim In Dumfries Walmart, Arrested: Police A Dumfries man was arrested for sexually assaulting another customer in a local Walmart, police said. On August 13, at around 1 p.m., a 27-year-old female victim was inappropriately touched by an unknown male in an at Walmart, Prince William County police said. She initially chased after the suspect, but he left the aisle and fled the store, officials reported. On August 16, officers identified the suspect, 62-year-old Shane Langley, in Woodbridge and he was charged with sexual assault, authorities said. Langley had a pending court date and no available bond information, police said.

Stafford Driver Disregards Nearby Officers As She Weaves Through Lanes: Police An uncooperative Stafford woman was arrested for reckless driving, police said. Just after 8 a.m. on August 16, an officer saw Georgiette Kwachie, 49, weaving in and out of lanes on I-95, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Kwachie did not comply with the officer who attempted to pull her over and initiated a chase, as she drove up to 80 mph, police said. Support Surges For Family Of Falls Church Woman Brutally Murdered In Her Home Silvia "Kelly" Acabay was described by friends as a loving wife and dedicated mother. On August 10, Acabay was the victim of a senseless tragedy, after Richard Montano stabbed her to death and lit her on fire in her Falls Church apartment. Teen Charged With Murder Of 45-Year-Old Man In DC A D.C. teen was arrested for the murder of a 45-year-old man in June, officials said. On June 25, just before 5 p.m., police responded to the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue where they found 45-year-old Jason Ford, with a gunshot wound and showing no signs of life, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
