CT Man Sentenced For Dealing Fentanyl
A Connecticut man has been sentenced to five years in prison for distributing fentanyl.
Mike Cruz, age 31, of Manchester, also known as Mike Flores, and “Mega,” also age 31, was sentenced to the prison term on Thursday, Jan. 14, followed by four years of supervised release, and a $10,000 fine, said John Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, in January 2020, law enforcement received information that Cruz was distributing large quantities of narcotics from his Manchester apartment.

Man Charged With Burglarizing Eight Long Island Businesses, Assaulting Cop, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested in connection with eight business burglaries, as well as shoplifting and assaulting a police officer.
Jesus Mendoza, 21, of Greenport, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 6, by Southold Police in Greenport in connection with eight different cases that were being investigated by the detectives which span the past several months, said Southold Police.

Alleged Dealer Supplying Drugs In Fairfield County Nabbed On Weapons, Narcotics Charges
An alleged narcotics dealer who was supplying drugs in Fairfield County was busted during a raid by multiple agencies.
Miguel Vazquez was arrested around 5 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in New Haven, said the Connecticut State Police.
Vazquez, age 51, of New Haven, was nabbed when officers from the state police drugs and gang units, and the Bridgeport Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Huntington Road in New Haven, state police said.

Long Island Man, Girlfriend Charged In Fatal Stabbing
A Long Island man and his girlfriend have been arrainged have been arraigned for their roles in the stabbing death of a man in October.
Isaiah Cust, age 30, of Roosevelt was arraigned on Thursday, Jan. 7 in front of Judge William O’Brien on one count of murder, said Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
Cust was remanded to jail and is due back in court on Friday, Jan. 29. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.
