Covid-19: Long Island Drive-Thru Vaccine Site Suspends Operations Due To Weather A drive-thru vaccination site on Long Island has been suspended due to extremely cold temperatures. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday, Jan. 29, that operations at the Jones Beach Drive-Thru Vaccination site has been suspended on Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30 due to the extreme cold resulting from the polar vortex currently impacting the state. Police Asking Public For Help Identifying Duo Who Broke Into Fairfield County Home Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two thieves who allegedly broke into a home and stole expensive jewelry. The incident took place around 5:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24 on Tuckahoe Road in Easton, said the Easton Police Department. According to police, the two entered through a smashed rear door and a large amount of unique and expensive jewelry was taken. CT Man, 48, Accused Of Assaulting Elderly Person, Police Say A 48-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting an elderly person during a domestic violence incident in Connecticut. Frank Polizzi, of Milford, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 25 after police responded to a Milford home on Gordon Road for a possible domestic event, police said. ID Released For Remains Of Woman Found In Northern Westchester Reservoir A woman who had been missing for more than 30 years has been identified as the person found inside a vehicle at the bottom of the Muscoot Reservoir. Brenda Kerber, age 40, of White Plains, a mother of two from two marriages, was found more than 30 years after she went missing in September of 1989, said the Chief of the White Plains Department of Public Safety Joseph Castelli. Trevor Dixon, 33, of Shelton, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 27, by the Shelton Police following an investigation, said Det. Richard Bango. Man Sentenced For Long Island Crash That Killed 22-Year-Old A Long Island man has been sentenced to five to 12 years in prison for a high-speed chase and ramming that ended in a fatal crash.
