Silver Alert Issued For CT Teen Missing For Two Days
A Silver Alert has been issued for a Connecticut teen who has been missing for two days.
Christopher Champagne, age 16, of Waterbury, was last seen around 3 a.m., leaving his home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, said Sgt. Nadine Amatruda, of the Waterbury Police.
Champagne was first reported missing around 12:44 p.m., on Feb. 23, after he did not return home.
The teen was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and carrying a Playstation.
He is described as being 5-foot-10, 140 pounds, with a thin build, hazel eyes, and short brown hair.

Former Long Island Library Employee Sentenced For Embezzling More Than $360K
An employee has been sentenced to one to three years in prison for embezzling more than $260,000 from a Long Island library.
Shelia Seward, age 59, of West Babylon, a former employee of the Elmont Memorial Library, was sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 24, for the theft which took place between 2012 and 2018, said Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.

I-84 Traffic Stop Nets 5 Kilos Of Cocaine, Three Arrests
Three people were busted with more than five kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop in Connecticut.
The bust took place around 2:37 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, when troopers stopped a Honda Ridgeline for speeding on I-84 westbound in Middlebury, said the Connecticut State Police.
During the stop, troopers developed probable cause to search the vehicle and as a result, uncovered 5.66 kilos of cocaine partially concealed in the backseat, state police said.

Suspect In Shooting Critical After Crashing Car In Fairfield County, Police Say
A 25-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries following a shooting and police pursuit that ended in a crash in Fairfield County.
Mark Anthony Febres, of Bridgeport, was arrested following the incident that started around 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, when a Bridgeport Police received a Shotspotter activation on Helen Street, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
Officers on patrol located the vehicle and driver responsible for the shooting incident and attempted a motor vehicle stop, Appleby said.
