Five Teens Nabbed In Northern Westchester Robbery Using Fake Glock, Police Say
Five Northern Westchester teens were arrested for an alleged robbery of a $20 vape pen while using a fake gun.
The five, four from Yorktown and one from Peekskill, ranged in age from 15 to 18, were nabbed around 7:59 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, by Yorktown Police, when an individual reported that he had been threatened with a firearm in the parking lot of 2026 Saw Mill River Road in Yorktown, police said.
Following an investigation, police said the five allegedly met with the victim after setting up the purchase of a $20 vape online.

Woman Loses Control Of Vehicle, Hits Long Island House, Becomes Stuck In Stairwell, Police Say
A 53-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly losing control of her vehicle and hitting a Long Island house, with the vehicle becoming stuck in the basement stairwell.
The crash took place around 10:15 p.m., Monday, March 1 on Thorne Drive, in Bethpage, said the Nassau County Police.
According to police, Eighth Precinct officers responded to a residence on Thorne Drive for an auto accident. Upon arrival, it was determined the vehicle left the roadway and struck a house.
The vehicle was stuck in the basement stairwell and the driver was unable to exit the vehicle.

1-Year-Old Boy, Woman Killed In Horrific Two-Vehicle Route 9 Crash
A 1-year-old infant and a 48-year-old woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy stretch of Route 9.
The crash took place around 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 1, on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, in the area of New Hackensack Road, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
An initial investigation revealed a 2017 Honda CRV, driven by Loraine Baker, age 48, of Poughkeepsie, was southbound on Route 9 and rear-ended a southbound 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, Hicks said.
Baker was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where she died from her injuries, he added.

Man Nabbed For DUI After Sitting At Red Light Without Moving In Fairfield County, Police Say
A Fairfield County man is out on $250 bail after being arrested for alleged DUI for sitting at a flashing red light without moving.
Joseph Glazier, 28, of Stamford, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 27, by New Canann Police after an officer on patrol spotting a vehicle driven by Glazier stopped at the flashing red traffic signal at the intersection of Elm Street and Park Street, Lieutenant Jason Ferraro said.
Despite not having any oncoming traffic, Glazier failed to drive his vehicle, and multiple cars were behind his vehicle honking their horns, Ferraro said.
