Woman Busted With Amphetamines In Putnam Traffic Stop PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old woman was arrested by Kent Police after she was stopped for a traffic infraction and officers discovered she was in possession of amphetamines. Lindsey  Quezada, of Kent, was stopped around 10 p.m. Nov. 20, by Officer Dan Huestis on West Lakeshore Drive for a traffic infraction, said Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri. During the stop, the officer discovered Quezada was in possession of amphetamines, he said. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 6.

Erratic Route 52 Driver Charged With DWI In Putnam, Police Say PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Kent Police nailed a Wappingers Falls man for felony DWI after he was stopped for driving erratically on Sunday on Route 52. Anthony Ginese, 37, was stopped around 11:15 a.m. by Sgt. Alex VanderWoude observed him driving erratically and determined that he was under the influence, said Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri. Ginese was arraigned by Town Justice Kevin Douchkoff and is being held without bail at the Putnam County Jail.

Three-Time Felon Caught With Fake Gun In Hyde Park, Police Say A Hyde Park man on parole and a three-time felon was busted for having a fake gun during a traffic stop in the Town of Lloyd. Julio A. Suarez, 31, was caught with the "very realistic" gun that fires blanks when the driver of the car he was a passenger in was arrested for heroin on Sunday, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso.  Suarez was charged with felony possession of a weapon, criminal impersonation, and obstructing governmental administration, Janso said. He was arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail.
