Carmel Man Driving Erratically Busted For DWI, Police Say PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. --  A Carmel man was busted by Town of Kent Police for drunk driving after being stopped on Route 52. Angel Brito, 27, was arrested after he was stopped by Officer Corey Ashe around 2 a.m. Nov. 20, when he was spotted driving erratically on Route 52, said Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri. Brito was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 13.

Police Investigate Report Of Swastikas On Van In Spring Valley The owner of a van with dirty windows discovered two swastikas drawn into the dirt on his rear window, while in Spring Valley, according to Spring Valley police. The owner said he didn't even know the swastikas were there until pointed out on Jill Lane, said Officer Matthew Galli.  The van's owner told officers he couldn't be sure if they were drawn while he was working in Spring Valley or done in Orange County where he lives, Galli said.
