Ossining residents, employees, and business owners are returning to their buildings after the Westchester County Bomb Squad deemed a suspicious package safe, according to the Ossining Police. Buildings in the area of 100 Main St., were evacuated around 3 p.m. Tuesday after a suspicious package was found in the area, police said. The reported head-on crash occurred early Tuesday near the overlook and caused a large fluid spill, officials said. State police were on the scene and could not immediately offer details of the crash. They asked drivers to avoid the area to avoid long backups.

Two-Alarm Fire Heavily Damages Hyde Park Apartment House Fairview firefighters were able to put out a two-alarm apartment house fire in Hyde Park within 10 minutes after arriving, but the occupants were displaced as a result of the damage. Kent Man Busted For Driving Under The Influence Of Drugs, Police Say PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Kent man was busted for DWAI/drugs and possession of drugs following a traffic stop for driving erratically on Route 52. Daniel Crawford, 31, was stopped around 12:45 p.m., Sunday after Officer Dan Huestis noticed him driving erratically, said Town of Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri. Following his arrest, Crawford was also found to be in possession of 20 alprazolam bills, DiVernieri said. Crawford was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on  Dec. 13.

Injured Tappan Zee Bridge Worker Hospitalized A worker at the Tappan Zee Bridge is in Nyack Hospital after being injured during a construction accident, according to the Tappan Zee Constructors.
