Car Crashes Into Peekskill Stop & Shop An elderly female motorist who crashed into the front of the building of a Stop & Shop in Northern Westchester may have been suffering a medical emergency, police officials said. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1831 Main St. in Peekskill, police said. The Peekskill building inspector is on the scene to evaluate the situation. Ralph's Italian Ices & Ice Cream's $300K Suit Against Mamaroneck Dismissed WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A battle between Ralph's Italian Ices and the Village of Mamaroneck came to an end last week when a State Supreme Court Judge dismissed the case, according to the Village of Mamaroneck. The suit, filed in August by Ralph's owner Scott Rosenberg, sought to allow the embattled ice cream store to reopen and for $300,000 in damages. All of Rosenberg's claims were denied by State Supreme Court Judge Anne Minihan, and instead, upheld a July 2016 decision from the village Zoning Board of Appeals that revoked the popular ice cream shop's certificate of occupancy. Greenburgh, Tarrytown Robbery Suspect ID'd As Fatal Shooting Victim The man killed in a shooting in Yonkers after ramming his car into at least one police vehicle during an escape attempt has been identified, according to the FBI. Erick Campbell, 48, was shot Friday afternoon on Aqueduct Avenue near McLean Avenue, said Amy Thoreson, public affairs specialist with the FBI. Witnesses said Campbell, who was believed to armed, got in his car and tried to flee when officers attempted to arrest him, hitting multiple police vehicles. ID Released Of Man Found Dead At Reservation In Westchester Westchester County Police have identified the man found dead from apparent exposure to the cold after leaving a Valhalla shelter in just his pajamas. Suspects On Run After Armed Robbery At Spring Valley Deli Police are asking for the public's help in locating two suspects who robbed customers and employees at gunpoint at Eric's Deli in Spring Valley on Sunday. The robbery took place shortly after midnight at the store at 55 Maple Ave., when two suspects with masks, one of which was brandishing a handgun, entered the store, said Det. Sgt. Roxanne Lopez. The two employees and two customers that happened to be in the store at the time were locked into a storeroom while the suspects removed money from the registers, Lopez said. 3-Year-Old Saves The Day After Finding Woman's Purse At BJ's In Yorktown Landon Pruyne of Yorktown loves fire trucks, ambulances and police cars, so he was super excited last week when he got to visit a real police station to do a good deed. Man Pleads Not Guilty In Poughkeepsie Strangulation Death A City of Poughkeepsie man charged with strangling a local woman to death pleaded not guilty on Friday, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office. Charles D'Amico, 58, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jill Meltzer, 49, after the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the preliminary cause of death as strangulation, said Town of Poughkeepsie Lt. Serious Poughquag Crash Leaves Person Trapped In Vehicle This story has been updated. Motorists were asked to avoid Mountain Creek Road at Wingdale Mountain Road in Poughquag due to a serious motor vehicle. The crash, which happened around 9:30 a.m., Monday, had first responders working to free one person trapped in a vehicle, officials said. Drivers were asked to use an alternate route to allow for emergency vehicles, the roadway was not closed, but there were backups, officials said.

Serious Crash Closes Route 9W In Cornwall This story has been updated. Route 9W between Route 293 and Mountain Road in Cornwall has reopened after a serious crash closed the southbound part of the roadway, according to state DOT officials. The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 7:55 a.m., Monday, officials said. Traffic was backed up and drivers were being asked to use alternate routes. The roadway reopened at around 10 a.m.
