Village Of Buchanan Officer Hailed A Hero For Saving Baby Officials with the Village of Buchanan are hailing one of their officers a hero after he saved the life of an 11-month-old baby who was not breathing. According to officials on Facebook, on Tuesday at about 4:45 p.m. Officer Robert Budde received a call from a hysterical woman. The only information Budde could obtain over the phone was the address. When he arrived, the woman brought him to the 11-month-old baby she was caring for. The baby was not breathing and had no pulse. Two Posed As Water Employees In Wappingers Falls Robbery The Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department is asking the public for help in locating two men who posed as water department employees in order to gain entry into a home and rob the homeowner. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18 on Clinton Street when two Hispanic males wearing black sweatpants and dark blue sweatshirts arrived at the home identifying themselves to be employees for the local water department, said Sergeant P. K-9 Officer Nabs Drunk Brewster Man Who Fled Scene Of Crash A drunk Brewster man was nabbed by a Putnam County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit after leaving the scene of a crash in the Town of Southeast, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. The crash was discovered around 12:20 a.m. Jan. 18, when Deputy Francis McDonough responded to the area of 186 Starr Ridge Road, in the Town of Southeast, on a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash, the Sheriff's Office said. Four Men On The Run In Central Nyack Shooting Clarkstown Police are on the hunt for four men involved in the shooting of a 29-year-old man who was wounded in the leg in Central Nyack. The shooting took place around 6:55 p.m. Thursday at 52 Mountainview Ave., said Clarkstown Police Spokesman Peter Walker. The victim, who was believed to have been targeted over a prior dispute, was alert and taken to Nyack Hospital. He was in stable condition Friday morning, Walker said. Police Seek Info On Poughkeepsie Juveniles Shooting BB Guns At Vehicles City of Poughkeepsie police are looking for reports of additional incidents after two juveniles were caught shooting BB gun pellets at vehicles in the area of Mill and North Bridge streets on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police. Police stationed two officers in the area after receiving reports that at least three cars had been hit, shattering their windows. Teen Charged After Entering Hawthorne Home Through Garage Door A 17-year-old girl was arrested for burglary after walking into a Thornwood home through an open garage door, went upstairs and asked the startled owner to use the phone, Mount Pleasant Police said. Suspect Nabbed In Stamford Stabbing That Leaves Man Fighting For His Life A Stamford man has been nabbed in the vicious stabbing of a local man on Tuesday that left him fighting for his life, according to Stamford Police. Town Of Poughkeepsie Pedestrian Hit By Car Has Life-Threatening Injuries A 72-year-old Town of Poughkeepsie woman received serious head injuries after being hit by a car on Violet Avenue, according to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. The incident took place around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday near 347 Violet Ave., when the woman stepped onto the roadway and was struck by a car traveling north, said Lt. Brian Wagner.
