Poughkeepsie Man Busted For Drugs After Complaints From Residents A Poughkeepsie man was busted for possession of crack cocaine after investigators with the Dutchess County Task Force received complaints of drug dealing in the area. Edward Grant, 57, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 19, following a search of North Clinton Street home by the task force along with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Emergency Services Unit, said Frank Tasciotti, a spokesman with the task force. Five-Year-Old Struck By Taxi After Getting Off Bus In Kiryas Joel A 5-year-old child has been hospitalized after being hit by a taxi shortly after getting off a school bus in Kiryas Joel, according to the New York State Police. The child was hit around 12:30 p.m. Friday on Stropkov Court after getting off the school bus, said State Police Spokesman Steven Nevel. Nevel said investigator were still on the scene and was not sure if the taxi had gone around the stopped bus.
