She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. Greenwich Police Promote Three Officers Three Greenwich police officers were promoted on Monday during a ceremony with Chief James Heavey. Daniel Bucci and Craig Zottola were promoted to the rank of detective. Zottola joined the department in 2010 and Bucci joined in 2011.  In addition, Officer Peter Schmidt was promoted to Master Police Officer. Schmidt joined the department in 2012. Since becoming Chief in November of 2011, Heavey has promoted more than 20 officers.  Heavey said the officers who were promoted Monday have worked hard to earn their new ranks.
