Castle, 31, was arrested around 2:10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, when Deputy Sheriff Ronald Yeager observed a vehicle traveling south on the shoulder of Route 22 in the Town of Southeast, the department said. Ovidio Marquez, 25, was arrested Sunday after being stopped and the officer smelled marijuana when he walked up to the vehicle, police said. Michael H. Bernecker, 27, of North Salem, was arrested around 2 a.m. Saturday, March 10, when Sgt. William Quick stopped his vehicle in the Town of Southeast for the infractions and quickly realized Bernecker was intoxicated, the sheriff's office said. Bernecker was charged with DWI with a BAC of .13 percent and traffic violations. He was released and is due to appear in The Town of Southeast Justice Court on a future date.
