Fairfield County Man ID'd As Fatal Route 34 Crash Victim Police have identified a 36-year-old Fairfield County man killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 34 in New Haven County on Tuesday morning. Christopher Etes of Sandy Hook was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Buckingham Road, according to the Derby Police. Etes, who was driving a Jeep when he crashed into a box truck, was the driver at fault in the incident, Derby Police said in a statement. Former Westchester Doctor Charged With Stealing $500K From Woman A 69-year-old former physician has been charged with grand larceny for stealing more than $500,000 from a 97-year-old woman, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. Peter Corines of Eastchester was charged Tuesday following an investigation into the theft which took place during a two-week period in November 2017, the DA's office said. Boil Water Notice In Effect After Pressure Restored To One-Third Of Danbury A boil water notice is in effect for all Danbury water customers until further notice following a large water main break that left one-third of the city without water, according to city officials.The problem began Monday and grew in scope early Tuesday when a 16-inch water line broke underneath Tamarack Avenue and Hayestown avenues broke. Cocaine Delivery Attempt Intercepted In Stamford Stamford police nabbed a 28-year-old man as he attempted to deliver more than two ounces of cocaine in the Cove. Jesus Seguinot of New Haven was arrested after agents with the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime squad received word he would be making a drop of powder cocaine to a Waterbury Avenue home, said Capt. 23-Year-Old Woman Stabs Girlfriend In Stamford, Police Say A Stamford woman was arrested by police after stabbing her girlfriend in the hand with a knife during a domestic dispute, according to Stamford Police. Beloved Longtime Rockland Restaurant Owner Dies At 79 The longtime owner of the El Bandido restaurants in Rockland, Orange and Essex counties, died on Friday, April 6 surrounded by his family at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was 79. Santiago Manuel Tello, a 20 year resident of Upper Saddle River, was born May 1, 1938, in Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico and emigrated to the U.S. in the mid-70's. Man Wanted For Biting Ear Lobe In Stamford Brawl Caught A Stamford man was nabbed for an old crime after he was arrested along with a 17-year-old on Sunday for beating and stabbing their roommate after they ran out of beer.
