Evacuation Order Lifted For Overturned Tanker With Flammable Liquids This story has been updated. A mandatory evacuation has been lifted for the area surrounding Fairfield Avenue in Stamford due to an overturned truck hauling extremely hazardous materials. The evacuation was lifted around 12:45 p.m., but "Fairfield Avenue will remain closed for several more hours for final cleanup," according to the mayor’s office. Off-Duty Officer Rescues 5-Year-Old After Coyote Attack In Mount Pleasant An off-duty Irvington police officer saved a 5-year-old girl from a coyote who had attacked and bitten her at a Thornwood park. The incident took place around 4 p.m. Sunday at James M. Carroll Park on Kensico Road when police said a coyote attacked a 5-year-old girl who was playing on the playground. Man Attacks Driver After Crash In Road-Rage Incident, Stamford Police Say A witness video of a road rage attack has led to the arrest of a Stamford man who is familiar to police. Kadeem Sadio, 28, was arrested and charged with numerous motor vehicle violations around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, after he backed into another vehicle in the area of Mission Street and then attempted to leave the scene of the accident without exchanging information, causing the other driver to confront him, Stamford Police said. Wanted Westchester Man Arrested After Traffic Stop A wanted Westchester County man was scooped up during a traffic stop by the Putnam County Sheriff Office. Kevin A. Valenzuela, 29, of Yorktown Heights, was stopped around 2 a.m. Saturday, April 14, by Deputy Sheriff Ronald Yeager after he observed the vehicle, which he knew the owner was wanted while patrolling the Lake Peekskill area of Putnam Valley. Valenzuela was charged with driving without a license and on a bench warrant for failure to appear.

Employee Accused Of Stealing $12K From Area Burger King A 37-year-old woman was arrested for stealing $12,000 from the Burger King in Highland while working as a manager at the restaurant, according to Town of Lloyd Police. Frances C. Delaunay, 37, of Marlboro, was charged with felony grand larceny on Friday, April 21, according to Lt. James Janso. "She was shorting the money when she would make the daily deposits," Janso said. An investigation was launched once the discrepancy in funds was discovered, he added. Detail At Park In Stamford Finds Illegal Activity After receiving numerous complaints from residents of drug dealing, alcohol use and other problems at Lione Park, the Stamford Police conducted a "Quality of Life," enforcement detail at the park. Reward Offered For Arson Fire At Old Hudson River Psychiatric Center A $5,000 reward is being offered by developers of the old Hudson River Psychiatric Center to find out who intentionally set a four-alarm fire that Fairview firefighters are still monitoring for hot spots, said Fairview Fire District Chief Christopher Maeder. Man Faces Drug Charges After No-Knock Warrant Search In Orange County An Orange County man was busted on drug charges by City of Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office during a "No Knock" search of his apartment.
