She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Six-Vehicle Crash On Merritt Parkway Causes Injuries All lanes of the Merritt Parkway reopened for Monday's morning commute following a six-vehicle crash that closed the parkway for more than two hours. The crash, which took place around 2:10 p.m. Sunday near the Main Street exit in Trumbull, closed the northbound lanes of the highway for more than two hours as police from surrounding towns, including Bridgeport, Trumbull, and Fairfield, helped direct traffic, said Connecticut State Police. Westport Man Caught With Thousands Of Child Porn Images After receiving a tip from the Connecticut State Police, a Westport man has been arrested for possessing almost 5,000 images of child pornography. Michael Spero, 42, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of child pornography after state police notified Westport Police in February of two cyber tips involving images of child pornography that had been uploaded to the internet, the department said. New DNA Technology Produces Sketch Of Cold Case Homicide Victim Bridgeport Police Officers released two detailed composite images they believe are of a female murder victim dating back to a 1993 homicide. The two images were derived from DNA taken from the victim using new technology to create a genealogical profile of the woman found dead on June 5, 1993. That day, Bridgeport Police discovered a body on a vacant lot at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Railroad Avenue in the south end of Bridgeport. Motorist Intentionally Hits Car In Fight Over Woman, Police Say A Hudson Valley motorist was arrested after intentionally hitting another car in a fight over a woman, according to police in Rockland County. Jose A. Perez, 47, was arrested Sunday, May 6 and charged with reckless driving, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment following the crash, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas. Bills Introduced To Restore Tappan Zee Name To New Bridge Few refer to the new Tappan Zee Bridge by its official name of the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, just as few called the old bridge by its designated name, the Malcolm Wilson Bridge, honoring another former New York governor. Hudson Valley Man Arrested Twice In One Day Monroe Police arrested a man twice in one day after he assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute and then violated a protective order. Odi Gil-Aguilar, 30, of Monroe, was arrested on Thursday, May 10, after officers responded to a home for a report of domestic violence taking place, police said. When officers arrived they found Gil Aguilar assaulting his wife and arrested him. Cause Of Death Revealed For Off-Duty Hudson Valley Sheriff Deputy The shooting death and car crash involving a long-time Rockland County sheriff deputy late last year has been ruled a suicide by the Orange County Medical Examiner's Officer. Pair Caught With Over 100 Pieces Of Stolen Mail In Westchester Police nabbed two men who had stolen or "fished" more than 100 pieces of stolen mail out of a USPS box in Westchester. The men, Jade Williams, 19, and Sean Michael Dash, 21, both of the Bronx, were arrested around 2:50 a.m. Friday after police observed the two engaging in suspicious activity in of the USPS mailbox, said Tarrytown Police Lt.
