Home Destroyed In Trumbull Fire An early morning fire on the second floor of a Trumbull home left the residence "unlivable."  The Trumbull Fire Department responded to the fire around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at 14 Chatham Drive, the department said. The first firefighters on the scene confirmed an active fire on the second floor of the single family residential structure. Residents were safely evacuated as firefighters from Trumbull Center, Nichols and Long Hill Fire departments responded to the scene and attacked the blaze. Greenwich Woman Caught Shoplifting $130 In Items From CVS, Police Say A 59-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested after allegedly ripping off $130 in goods from a local CVS store. Vanessa Jackson was arrested on Tuesday around 10:25 a.m. after Greenwich police officers responded to the CVS store on West Putnam Avenue for a report of larceny, Greenwich Police said. An investigation revealed that Jackson took several food items valued at $130 from the store without paying for them, police added.
