She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Dogs Stuck In Icy Hudson River Rescued Two dogs who were out for a day of adventure were rescued after they became stranded on the ice on the Hudson River in the area of Parker Avenue in Ulster County. Members of the Esopus Fire Department responded to the area around 3 p.m. after receiving word of the stuck dogs, the department said on their Facebook page. Fugitive From Justice Nabbed In Stamford A man on the run from cops in Palm Beach County, Florida for identity theft was nabbed in Stamford following a tip. Gerardo Taboada, 57, was captured around 8:30 a.m. Thursday after Stamford Police received a tip from the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office that he may be living in an apartment, said Stamford Police Capt.
