Garage Damaged By Fire In Milford A garage was partially destroyed by fire after the homeowner disposed of ashes from a wood-burning stove into a plastic recycling bin.  The fire took place around 12:42 p.m. Monday at 169 Yale Ave., Milford, according to Milford Fire Department Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi. Elvin Mejiagomez, 35, was arrested around 2:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, after a Rockland County Sheriff's patrol officers, observed Mejiagomez driving a vehicle in Kennedy Dells Park with his dog on the roof, creating a hazardous situation, the department said.
