ID Released For Man Killed While Riding Lawn Mower With Brother On Route 17 Police have released the identity of a Sloatsburg man who was killed while riding a lawn mower on Route 17 with his brother when they were hit by a car. Richard M. Mackey, 29, died early Monday, May 20, from his injuries, said Ramapo Police. His brother Raymond Mackey, also 29, from Sloatsburg, is believed to be the driver of the lawn mower and is currently hospitalized with serious injuries at this time, police added. Deer Hits Bicyclist During Popular Road Race In Area A woman suffered a broken arm and leg after being hit by a deer while participating in a popular road race in the area. Caroline Lepage, 48, of Quebec, was hit about 10 a.m., Sunday, May 19, while riding her bike northbound during the annual Gran Fondo Race on Route 9W near Boulderberg Road in Tomkins Cove, said Stony Point Police Lt. Police Probe Possible Connection After Spree Of 7-Eleven Robberies In Suffolk Suffolk County Police are investigating to determine if three 7-Eleven robberies that took place over the weekend may be connected. The first robbery took place around 1:41 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at the store located at 613 Broadhollow Road in Melville, said Suffolk County Police. During the robbery, a man entered the 7-Eleven and displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and demanded cash from an employee at the counter. Nypd Officer Accused of Seeking Hitman To Murder Ex-Husband An NYPD officer from Long Island was arrested for allegedly seeking to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband. Officer Valerie Cincinelli, of Oceanside, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in Central Islip on Friday, May 17, reported Eyewitness News 7.
